Not sure where to post this... Today Toyota told me that they would not cover my 2013 Tacoma under factory warranty for my transmission because it looks like some one touched it before. They said was low on trans fluid they said i must of drained some of it.My truck has never had any issues before this really I had a little problems I thought where transmission related so I took it to toyota they said it was fine all oil changes an tire rotations where done at the dealership where I purchased it is never been touched by anyone other than them an the tire ship I got my rims from. Toyota corporate days they have to go with what the dealership says. They want me to pay $8000 for an auto tranny that is 8 months old.Im extremely irritated by this an don't have the 8000 to fix it. Any suggestions?

    Which Dealership?

Maybe get the local TV Consumer reporter involved? I'm sure they won't like the bad publicity.

Needs to be escalated to the next level in corporate.
First line's job is like an insurance company... deny all claims.
You have maintenance records and you would have no reason to drain trans fluid out.

BBB won't mean anything to Toyota corporate, and really won't mean anything to the dealership.

BBB has a LITTLE more power now that they are online and people can more easily research businesses... but when was the last time you referred to their web site?

The extent of BBB's "power" is limited to the equivalent of saying:
"STOP! Or I shall say 'stop' again!"

Was it the dealership or corporate that told you to contact the Attorney General?
If it was corporate, then by all means, do it.
Also get in touch with the Bureau of Automotive Repair for your state.

Toyota corporate heavies locked him in his truck, took him for a ride to Jersey, and he's now sleepin' with the fishes. :D

People will get rid of a truck if they don't like it or there is an issue.

BAR or take them go court! That sounds like total bs. Really 8k for a trans?

Have you had the truck since new? All maintenance records? Have you done anything to the trans? If not you sould prevail. Also try a different dealership.
