2013 basic audio system question

My 2013 base 5 lugger just has the bottom end touch screen unit.

AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth + steering wheel controls, since it has the convenience package.

So.

Is there anyway to change the screen to be dark when the unit is off? Instead of sitting there with the stupid 'Audio Off' being displayed?

If it's the same as the radio in my 2013 base PreRunner all you do is go to setup (button at bottom right side of radio.) Then touch "Display" on the screen and you should get an option that says "Screen Off."

 

Thank you. That worked. Not exactly how I expected it would, but good enough..............

By that I mean I only wanted the screen off when the radio was off. Which this certainly does. But when you turn the radio on, the screen stays off (with radio playing), until you tap the Audio button, which pulls the station display back up.

And when you turn the radio off again, the 'Audio Off' has returned, and you have to cancel it again.

Regardless, at least it lets me have it off when I want it off!
