I've checked the threads and apart from jamb some rubber between the windscreen and dash, has anyone actually found what the issue is?
Mine started rattling about a month ago and is driving me nuts, esp. on the roads down here.
Anyone know what is causing this?:notsure:

If you're still under warranty which I believe you are. Doesn't hurt if you take it to the dealer to check it out. I wouldn't start taking things apart on a new truck IMO.

my 2014 started creaking at the brake pedal. the windows seem to rattle and there is noise coming from the dash. just started when the cold hit about a week or so ago. driving me crazy and pissing me off. Im going to get after chasing some of it down this weekend because i cant take it anymore. I took it in a few weeks back for 10,000 mile service and asked them to look at seat rattle which theysaid was normal. I addressed it on my own.but this is worse

    sub'd for follow up

x2. I'd let the dealer mess with it so they don't blame you for taking it apart.

Knock on wood, I haven't had any creaks in my truck.

I've only owned my Tacoma for all of 2 days, but I will say this - I've owned many vehicles in my day, and it seems like they all develop rattles at some point. I wouldn't put the blame on a certain year or make of a car.

i took it to my dealer. not only did they say it was normal for a seat to rattle ( they said my driver would rattle if i wasnt sitting in it ) but it was actually worse after they investigated. now i have creaks and squeaks and rattles where ive never had them before.

I just want to pinpoint the sound then see about who should or how to fix it

Personally, I'd go drive it like hell down a rough road and see if it works itself out. I had a dash rattle I got rid of this way

What part of your seat is making noise? Now that you've mentioned that, my headrest does make a creak noise occasionally. Not that it should be normal, you just reminded me that it was doing it.

down low on outside where the recliner lever is. after they said it was normal i jammed a bunch of hard drive packaging foam around the lever and as far in the guts of the seat as I could and it stopped. it is what it is. as long as i dont hear it I dont care.

I had a rattle with my windshield. It only happened when temps were 80s or above. Drove me nuts. Then I hit a pterodactyl and had to get a new windshield. Problem fixed.
