2013 DCab prewired for reverse camera

2015 Access Cab

So I have a 2013 DCab that does not have a reverse camera. It is prewired from tailgate to the overhead area above the regular manual mirror. Question is can I just buy camera and then get a mirror with reverse camera. Will it be plug and play? Is the mirror that has the backup camera display also possible to show compass and temperature? Is that sensor prewired or will I have to run a sensor? Thinking of getting camera on EBay and then mirror from car parts.com. Any thoughts?
