I am exploring the idea of customizing my 2013 Double Cab so that it can accommodate 6 passengers. I would like to put a jump seat or similar in the front, in place of the center console. I have searched and not found anything. Has anyone seen this done? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Just based on where the shifter is I don't think that would work. Not sure though, maybe somebody has already done it?

I am worried about the console. Do they offer a regular cab with the V6 and transmission in a double cab? I have thought about the bench option, however am not sure the console from a regular cab would swap into the double cab....

I have considered the same of having 6 passenger capacity, and have not found more info. By customizing, you could relocate the shifter forward, eliminating the cup holders. My only concern is bench seat attachment and middle seatbelt attach points. Also do not know if there is stuff within the center console (cables, modules, sensors, etc.).it be great if it could be done right. If not, you can get a Crewmax with front bench. :)

6 passengers in a double cab? Just buy a good used minivan as a second vehicle! The modifications it's going to take to change the console shifter probably isn't really worth it time or money wise.
