I'm hoping someone can help me out. The horn in my 2013 Tacoma XSP-X isn't working. I have changed out the fuse, and I don't have any other issues with the controls on the stearing wheel, so hopefully it's not an issue with the clock spring. Does any one have any suggestions?

Did you check the relay also?

Start the engine. Hold the horn button down and turn the steering wheel in each direction. If at some point it blows, you need a new clock spring. Toyota calls it a spiral cable.

Seriously I'm just learning how to work on this thing.
Probably the clock spring. Easy easy easy fix. You can even get one for $10 on Ebay... not that I recommend that, but it’s an option.

I have chaged the relay, and when I turn the wheel and press on the horn there is still nothing. The airbag light is not on, which leads me to think that the clock spring is good, and and horns work when I use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. Any suggestions ?

I remember reading a bumper sticker that said "horn broke, watch for finger"
    Sorry I'm no help.

There are several circuits in the clock spring. Any 1 or all of them can break.

By your logic, the truck doesn’t go flop, flop, flop when I drive, so the spare tire must not be flat.

My airbag light wasn’t on and my horn still worked but my cruise control was out. When you use your FOB a different circuit is communicating with the horn. Your horn isn’t broken. Your clock spring is... in my opinion.

I just changed the clock spring and that fixed the issue.
