Is there a "known" sequence for speeding up the process to make the EVAP monitor ready for a state emission test on the 2nd Generation's?

Most of the EVAP monitor runs up to 10 hrs after the engine has been turned off but the conditions must be met for it to run.

Thanks again Dm93. I think that the near full tank of fuel is what my delayed "ready" is about. I'm assuming the "Techstream" tool is not critical for the instructions, just to view what's happening??

No, it's just the FSM refers to it because its the OE scan tool for Toyota.
Many aftermarket higher end tools can do most of the same functions and most scan tools csn view readiness monitor status.

Just went through this recently for CO emissions. Can confirm on my 2011, I managed to get all the other monitors to run by driving around, called a few friends with some tech background and they said "you might as well quit wasting gas". The gas tank between 1/4 and 3/4 and an overnight sit ran the evap monitor.

    Best of luck!
