What's up with the 2013 MPG listed on the Toyota site? It has 19/24 for Double Cab and 21/25 for Access and Regular.

The double cab I4 is only available with the automatic EPA 19/24.

The regular cab and access cab I4 is available with the automatic EPA 19/24.

The regular cab and access cab I4 sticks are EPA 21/25.

I have a 2011 I4 Double cab and it's the best decision I've made. I'm in Florida and its pretty flat here so I thought the I4 would be fine. This month, i drove up to Wisconsin and put the truck to the test on the hills. I must say I was pretty impressed. It just took a little bit of shifting into the right gear since it's a 4 speed auto. Don't expect it to be a rocket but then again, I didn't expect the V6 to be a rocket either.

Hamhocs. I would advise looking now if your thinking about a 2012. I'm in the same boat as you looking to buy. I started looking around and found out that every dealer within 2hrs was out of 2012 v6 4x4 access cab. (Ok not really EVERY dealer but i will not buy red truck (no offense to Barcelona guys)) the $500 rebate on tacomas really cleared out inventory my area. Most 2012s left are I4's and quad cabs.
