Agreed... but FWIW, Saban already has more national titles than everybody on that list except Rockne (tied), and Bryant (two behind).

i dont think they hadover 70 players gettin paid and a decade of lack of institutional control

 

i mean, what they did was worse than what happened at ohio state and usc, but got off way easier. and their self imposed bowl ban was in their 2 worst years in a long time, and they didnt even decide those until half way thru a season or at the very end

 

The Bowden part is biased however I didn't say anything about that. In general his week to week predictions are pretty spot on. Considering he picked FSU 52-10 which was the closest of any analyst by far. And I wouldn't say Nole glasses because I don't remember any football prior to the Chris Rix days.

By default so ur saying if paterno and Bowden didnt have wins taken paterno would b number one

 

I have a hard time with all of the "Best _______ of ALL TIME!" comparisons, because of how drastically things have changed in the last 10, 20, 30 years. Bowden is the best of his ERA. Could you imagine Bear Bryant having to deal with social media, and the recruiting grind of today? With all of the P.C. that goes with it. Let's be honest, I'm sure coaches of that era got away with WAAAAY more than even conceivable now. Quite frankly, the same goes for Bowden.
