i suggest Columbia if you're interested in upping your chances of being the victim of a violent crime, like concrete, crack houses, landfills, or ice that smells like the toilet

Fair enough. If I was a football player and was in similar shape, I wouldn't have any problems with that. Just my thoughts.
    Umm....

Did some research. Rumor was sewage and water pipes got mixed. This kinda seems impossible to me but whatever. I'm guessing they had rusty pipes which gave it a brown color. Not sure about the smell though. Either way, shit ice is enough to keep me away.

    And this.

New to the forum, just stumbled half-drunkenly into this thread.

Any other WVU fans out there on TacoWorld?

Morgantown is a magical place in the fall! :D

Happy to be here! *hat tip*

Just bought my first Tacoma this past weekend. Got a 2012 as a work truck last January, had 103 miles, now has ~36K. Needless to say, I have spent alot of time in that truck over the last year and fell in love so it was only right that I buy my own!

Now, back to football - albeit, WVU biased...

Where do you think Geno Smith will end up on Draft Day and do you think he'll have more of (read: longer than 1 season) a career than Pat White did?

His arm and stats are impressive, I attribute most of the stats to the receivers he had and the conference he played in. That being said, he should go in the top 10 of the first round.

Agreeable. The receivers we had this year were ridiculous. However, I think the Big12 was a tough conference. MUCH tougher than the Big Least, and the travel/distance "excuse" can easily be discussed too (ie; back to back road games in TX). It is something WVU will have to get used to. It can't be used as a copout because NFL teams do it every week.

I was talking from a defensive standpoint. Look at the way the defenses are built in the Little 12. None tend to be aggressive, dominant, or controlling. TTU and Tubberville's defense, did make Geno look silly though. If I were a scout, I would look at that film very hard before deciding whether or not he is worth it. Holgerson is very controlling and Geno never had to make hard decisions. When he did, he lost his cool. With some proper coaching, he could be great. I think it would be better for his career if he went later in the first round and sat behind a veteran QB like Rodgers, Brees, Brady, or Peyton Manning.

With the QBs that are succeeding in the NFL right now, (Kaep, RGIII, Wilson), I think he'll go in the first round. His career kinda depends on what team he goes to. Not sure he could go somewhere like Buffalo and turn that team around. Maybe if he went to KC and backed up Alex Smith for a year or so, learned for a year or 2, then came in and took over with Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe, et. al, he might be able to have a pretty decent career.
