As much as I want FSU to be 2, I don't think they are going to jump Oregon. The only way FSU will have a chance is if Oregon loses either next week or in a championship game. Don't forget FSU still has to beat Miami once again in the ACC Championship game!

Oh no doubt...but I think yall and UGA still have the same conf record and they hold the tiebreaker over yall...so if Mizzou drops 2...you'll also need a UGA loss to Auburn

It's really out of our hands.....wait to see how Georgia does against Auburn & how Mizzou does against A&M

    From the Bleacher Report....

A lot depends on Georgia's game with Auburn. Three losses probably won't win a title or get a team into a tie, so if Georgia (5-3, 4-2 SEC) upsets Auburn and beats Kentucky the following week, a three-way tie among the Bulldogs, Missouri and South Carolina with an equal combined head-to-head record of the three tied team is possible.
In that scenario, according to the SEC's tie-breaker rules, would likely come down to B.3—record of the tied teams within the division. If Missouri's loss is to a west team—as it most likely would be—Missouri's division record would be one-game better, and the Tigers would play in Atlanta. If the loss is to Kentucky, the tie would be broken by the team or teams with head-to-head wins over the team with the next-best conference record.
There's a misconception that a three-team tie would fall to the BCS Standings. That's the seventh tiebreaker, and an impossibility given this particular landscape.

And The Winner Will Be...... South Carolina Gamecocks
It's a fair assumption that South Carolina's offense will be able to handle a beat up Florida defense that's a shell of its former self in two weeks, and Georgia won't have enough to overtake Auburn on the Plains that same week.
That means all eyes will be on Missouri.
The Tigers will fall on the final weekend of the season to Texas A&M, tie with the Gamecocks at 6-2 in the conference, lose the head-to-head tiebreaker and South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier will get his second crack at the SEC Championship as the Gamecocks' head coach.

If we lose to AU, or any of our other SEC games, that's right. If Mizzou loses 1 more, and we win out, (Which, if we play like we did the first half, I could see us beating AU), then it's a 3 way tie and the tie breaker goes to the BCS Standings...and Mizzou has the leg up on both of us there.

Could be Duke in the ACCCG, an Duke Johnson is out for the year and he is basically their offense so I wouldn't be worried about playing them again. And yes if there are 3 undefeateds then FSU goes to the Orange Bowl

    yup :/

which is why I'm hoping for a late Oregon or Bama loss that keeps FSU in the NC hunt

FSU will jump Oregon this week. That was a beat down of a #7 team. If FSU wins the rest of their games by like 60 points, they might be able to stay #2, but if Oregon and Bama keep winning, they've got no shot. The way Bama has played over their last few games, I don't see them getting beat. I honestly think Auburn has the best shot to beat them...not LSU. Then, they'll walk all over whoever wins the East.

So...since Gurley got to PF calls against him, with one coming in the last few seconds of the game, does that mean he'll be suspended for the whole next game? Or half a game? How does that work?

    agreed

it'll be tough for FSU to stay above Oregon...but Oregon is usually pretty good for a late season loss too

I have no idea about the 2 PF calls

FSU will jump Oregon this week but if Oregon beats Stanford Thursday they will jump back over us. I know the only way to stay at the top is to have bama or Oregon lose

AP poll doesn't matter at all in the BCS. And the week we were ranked 2nd we were 3rd in both human polls. It'll all come down to the computers and if they put us back up to first. Which you never know cause the computers will just see a 41-14 victory over the 7th ranked team. Guess we'll find out though in less than an hour

sure it may be tough...and completely on oregon and bama to keep FSU in the #3 spot...but I think all of the ACC is pulling for the Noles right now

    we can hope!
