So this morning all was well and it was going to turn into a civil case, now it is oh shit oh shit is FSU going to have to play their 3rd string QB for the test of the year?

I feel like this case isn't even about the assault, it's more about money. From the research I've done (very extensive because I have a ridiculous amount of free time) there is literally no evidence that an assault ever occurred. The victim isn't some innocent girl, between the nights of December 6th-7th 2012 she did 4 different guys. But overall this just makes me mad because the "victim wanted, and supposedly still wants to just move on and leave it be because frankly there is no case, no real proof, no anything. All DNA does is show that something did happen but there is not proof as to whether it was consensual or not. And 11 months later I'm not sure how many witnesses are still credible or if they are being force fed everything they tell investigators.

Also I don't know why they say "attorney friend" when the statement was written by the girls aunt who is the attorney. Also with Willie Meggs history of charging FSU players who are not guilty, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose our quarterback, however having the main decision in the SAO be being made by the daughter of a former FSU quarterback can't hurt.

 

I think we have a good chance at beating Alabama. There is a chance for both teams to win this game. I'm saying 31-28 with Auburn pulling out the win.

 

I like how nobody likes to talk about how Jameis' attorney brought two witness statements to the state attorney that wiped him clean. No, ESPN is just looking for their next big scandal...

Also how about half of the article on Tampa bay times yesterday was either deleted or edited. Originally it had information as to what happened that night that made it look 100% consensual. Originally it said that they met at a bar and went back to her house together in a cab at around 1 AM. You don't often hear about people letting someone come over and sexually assault them.

Case made a good run if it. Proud of that kid and what he has had to deal with and overcome. I can't imagine the pressure he was under being Colt's little brother.
I haven't been on in a while. I've been watching the games but finding it hard to be very enthusiastic with the current state of the program.
Sure we went on a little run of wins but unlike most of the national media I realized the quality if the teams we beat.

One of the fishy timing things that no one has mentioned is that this news all came out within I believe 12 hours of FSUs backup QB being named out for the season from a knee surgery. The backup QB who technically won the starting job in spring practice according to coaches.

 

We don't like to talk about that.

Also, I know you're young, but you need to be really careful talking about a woman being innocent or not based on who she's slept with. A woman's promiscuity does not excuse sexual assault. A woman's consensual acts with a person or multiple people never makes non-consensual acts perpetrated against her OK.

 

I think you are missing a key word in your assessment, that would be alleged. As far as the police department pressuring the family, that is also all speculation at this point from one side of the story. Still alot of information missing in this entire ordeal.
