The guy in front is freshman running back Derrick Henry. He left HS early to come to Alabama. He should be in the second semester of his senior year of HS right now.

The guy behind him is 6' 1" and weighs 246 lbs.

Our running backs might kill people this year...

We had a freshman FB last year that was 6'2" 262 lbs. And had a freshman RB that was 6' 236. But thatw as it. Holy crap that guy is a monster RB. Gurley was only 6'1" 218, although he's supposedly trimmed up and bulked up this year.

Anyone know if the G day game is on any other channel than CSS? I have Direct tv so I don't get CSS.

I never found it while I was at work. We have a terrible TV package, but I don't think it was on anywhere. Glad I saw this. Reminds me to go try to find some stats or somethin from it.

Mississippi State picked to lose opener

Mississippi State was an overwhelming pick by the fans as the SEC team most likely to lose its 2013 opener.

The Bulldogs open the season against Oklahoma State on Aug. 31 at Houston's Reliant Stadium. Oklahoma State was ranked No. 20 in colleague Mark Schlabach's 2013 Way-Too-Early Preseason Top 25.

With more than 11,800 votes cast in our SportsNation poll, 56 percent of the fans voting picked Mississippi State to lose to Oklahoma State. Georgia was tabbed as the SEC's second most likely team to lose opening week with 29 percent of the fans picking the Bulldogs to lose at Clemson, which was No. 11 in Schlabach's preseason poll.

Third place went to LSU, which faces TCU in Arlington, Texas, to open the season. The Tigers got 9 percent of the vote.

Fourth place went to Alabama, which plays Virginia Tech in Atlanta in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The Crimson Tide received 4 percent.

Only 2 percent of the fans voted for South Carolina to lose at home to North Carolina.

I sure hope we don't lose, but Ok State is a pretty good team. At least offensively. I'm not sure if our secondary can handle their receivers and if our offense can keep up. We'll see. I think it is a great matchup and can go either way.

It was supposed to be aired on Comcast. I love my Direct TV but several times games have been on Comcast that I couldn't get. Last year DTV picked up Comcast as part of a sports package so I subscribed to so I could watch one of the UGA games (I think it was Fl. Atlantic) and it was blacked out. WTF? Needless to say I was pissed.
