    Well it's a start....
"Coach Frank Beamer was scheduled to meet Monday with Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton at the American Football Coaches Association convention in Nashville, Tenn., according to a CBSSports.com report."

A little late the party but all the same. Congrats to Bama on the big win! ND earned its spot in the game no matter what others may say IMO but I'm not surprised by the outcome. Really like the fact that A&M was the only team to beat Bama and I'm happy we didn't end the NC streak for the SEC. Looking forward to next year and seeing how all the big talent we have coming in plays out on the field. I really hope I can make the Bama vs A&M game next year! No telling how it will turn out yet, but given the chance to watch Bama and Johnny live at the same time is hard to miss

While it is possible, the majority of the time you will not find two SEC teams play in the BCS. Not that it can't theoretically happen, but it is rare. Would make for an interesting game. As for ND, they didn't have as tough a matchup this season, and I truly don't think they were ready for the BCS. Their defense had trouble off and on all year with simple mistakes from what I have heard. Watched the whole game myself, but I admit things did get boring after Bama hit the 35 point mark.

I'm generally not an SEC chest-thumper....

But to the SEC haters.... The conference has half of the AP Top 6 teams in, and half of the AP top 10, and (obviously) the champion - again.

I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'

    neglect, mostly.
it's impressive, no doubt at all. im sure if i went to an SEC school i would have the same demeanor.

my "interest" i'll call it, is yalls rivalry vs love of conference. . i'll try to explain. i noticed most of if not all of you that are fans of other SEC schools were pulling openly for alabama in the championship. especially the georgia and lsu fans who see themselves on an equal level with alabama talent wise, etc.

it just comes off to me as a little strange. for example, i said before im a big basketball fan. admittedly, more than football. i would NEVER cheer for UNC or Duke in a championship game. there is just too much hate and disdain in my heart for me to ever want them to win any game. . know what im saying? . i don't know, like i said, it just struck me as interesting. . . that is all

I understand what you're saying. We probably wouldn't be so adamant about it though if we didn't hear about how "overhyped" the SEC is and how, time and time again we continue to win National Championships. I cheer for Alabama because I do see LSU as being on the same level as them and therefore I want a team we almost beat to obliterate everyone else they play. Therefore, making our 4 point loss look better and more competitive than a 28 point loss. This is why I can't help but laugh when teams like Oregon and K-State think that they could have beaten Alabama in the NCG, albeit it would have been better than watching the Bama/ND snoozefest
