The day after winning the BCS national championship game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban fielded questions from the media including whether he has any interest in moving up once again to the National Football League.
When asked to put to rest rumors he may take a head coaching job in the NFL, a mildly irritated Saban replied he has repeatedly quashed any rumors that he has interest in the pro ranks and yet the media keeps asking him anyway.
Saban went on to say that he has no plans to leave Alabama. "I'm gonna say it. You learn a lot from the experience of the past."
Talking about his only stint in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, Saban elaborated that he felt limited by the NFL. "I didn't feel I could impact the team the way I could at a college level." The Crimson Tide coach says he gets enormous gratification in being able to shape young player's lives both on and off the field.
"Somewhere along the line you've got to choose. I kind of learned through that experience that maybe this is where I belong. And I'm really happy and at peace with all that."
    Gannett/WKYC-TV

and we know saban always tells the truth

I see the butthurt is kicking in full now. Don't worry, you'll get used to it.....or not, considering ND will probably slink back into mediocrity.

Given Saban's history of saying one thing and ending up doing another, I'm a little surprised that he's so annoyed that the rumors won't die.

Still... The things he's saying these days sound more thoughtful and measured than before. His reasons for saying he'll stay in the college game sound like the kinds of reasons that drive him.

Anyway, I obviously want him to stay, but it sounds to me like he will.

I don't think it's money that's driving him as much as the ability to have complete control and final say in his program, which he learned is not a reality in the NFL

So does anybody know anything about what Oregon may be guilty of? I keep hearing sanctions are about to come down on them for recruiting rule violations.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
They don't have anything yet. They still have to go in front of the infractions committee for a sit down and talk session.

Any idea of what was done or what rules were broken? Or has that even been determined yet?

What impresses me is, this is the way it was ALL YEAR. And I was glad to see the East have 3 teams at the top all year. At least our conference wasn't a complete doormat this year.

I don't understand that. The #1 team loses 42-14, and stays in the top 5. The voters must have had to keep them kinda high to save face since they thought they were so great all year.

After what I saw at the Dome, I know UGA can play with Bama (this year, at least). To know we lost by 4, and actually had the chance to win, while ND got blown out, makes me happy to see the SEC get another one. It makes every team in the conference look better when stuff like this happens. It's nice to be able to say you can play with the best team in the nation. There's a reason you don't see big east fans cheering for the whole conference. Saying you can play with the best of the big east is like saying you're te fastest kid at fat camp. Who cares?

Well, there's that. Way to be optimistic

I like the Ducks. I wanted to see them play Bama. But, the outcome would have been te same. Not point wise, but a W for Bama, nonetheless. But, I don't care about win%. Come play an SEC schedule every week and you'll end up with a couple losses every year, too. Y'all's conference is comin along, though. It's good to see someone out west be good besides uSC. I hope y'all never lose to them again.

The Oregon Ducks are under investigation by the NCAA for paying the sum of $25,000 to Willie Lyles, a third-party scouting director, for influence to former Ducks Lache Seastrunk and LaMichael James.

Lyles (complete fucking Cornholed Hussy) is a talent scout. Chip and the AD gave him a check (which is right there in the books all legal like) for his scouting work.

Supposadley Lyles turned into a douche and said some shit about we paid him to pay LMJ and Seastrunk to come here and blah blah f'n blah.

Chip said "we did nothing wrong or knowingly illegal and we will abide by ANY rules, sanctioning, etc. that the NCAA puts on us". He said we will fully cooperate with them and we have nothing to hide.

    We'll see what happens.

Carolina Gamecocks will struggle in 2013.... We have yet to find a good RB to replace Lattimore. Bulldogs should take the East again unless Florida takes it up a few notches.

You might be OK....I don't see us having another 11 win season.
