Toyota is replacing frame on my 2013 Tacoma in upstate New York. I'm grateful that Toyota is doing this. It is also costing me around $900 or so, is this a normal charge when they do this?

Find out what they’re charging you for. I had mine done in the summer of 2021 and I didn’t pay a dime, they gave me a loaner Tacoma and everything.

The frame comes with a lot more things such as all new brake lines, lower control arms etc.

It shouldn’t cost you anything. They’re trying to get any money they can on top of the flat rate job.

Are you getting other stuff replaced while they are in there? If so, it’s likely worth it, but ask for itemized info

Yup I was told they get 50 hours and had mine done in under 40. Ask for a list.

I tried to have Toyota city in mamaroneck do a few things while the frame job happened and they not only did ZERO of those things they left me with a vehicle that didn’t track straight. Had to buy a new steering rack after they failed to mention the old one was shot. Record and document everything. And also, make sure they don’t mess with your mileage! They checked me out at Les’s mileage than I rolled in and now the truck is worth ZERO.

Probably was. I got mine tho! I busted balls about it so much that I got a check cut to cover a new rack and and some components they “forgot” to take care of. All in, I got a frame job and 2k. Could’ve pushed more but I didn’t have the bandwidth while fighting the VA at the same time

That’s not a bad ending then, you had them. Screwing with mileage is a big problem, we have training videos about it quarterly at the gm dealer I work for.

I decided this is my last truck (if all goes well) so I’m not worried about resale. But if I do I know a tacoma enthusiast out there will be understanding of this detail.
