I'd personally wait for the 2014, not because of any potential changes, but because if you turn around and sell it in a few years the resale value will be higher on a '14 than a '13.

Ha, that's funny. My sales guy said that the new 14' tacoma's will look like the tundra's. Obviously these guys have no clue.

It's not a huge difference. It isn't a model year change.

Who buys a brand new car with the thought of resale value in a couple years?

    Best financial decision ever.

It actually is a good financial decision, if you buy impulsively now when next years model is coming out in 1-2 months and say in 4 years, 2 years, or heck next month you decide you want something different, it will be a selling point to have a '14 Tacoma instead of a '13 Tacoma.

Not really much difference in a 2013 and 2014 truck with identical mileage and the same model year styling. If you sold them both in 2015 maybe there is a $1000 difference? $2000?

You can walk out of the house today and save $3000 on a 2013, even more so in December. You won't walk onto a lot and talk $3000 of a 2014 that is freshly arrived.
