I understand where you're coming from. I traded my 2006 STI for a Camry for the wife, already had the Tacoma. I got 19500 for the car, plus 2300 off the car, plus a bumper and grille swap for the truck. I went to 7 different dealerships and that was by far the best deal I could find. So the wife got the Camry and I got the Tacoma, I'm happy.

I'm in the market for one. I found one that I love it but I feel I don't need the entune package worth 2K more:

2013 Tacoma DC SB 4X4 Automatic
    TRD off-road package
    Tow package
    Entune

They're asking 33K sale price, that's about 36,300 out the door after taxes, registration, etc.

    Any inputs?

FYI!!! I had several offers for this same truck for $31,900. Dealers in Denver seem to be very aggressive with their pricing. I ended up with the off road without entune. Couldn't pass up the deal.

I bought the same truck (no entune) in 2012 for 29,900 plus TTL. That included a $500 rebate at the time.

I'm probably going to end up with a 2013 in the next week or so. But, has anyone else found it hard to find a TRD Off-road with entune/JBL included? All I see are sports that include this package at local/surrounding dealers

It seems Double cab 4x4 TRD OR packages that include entune/JBL are being priced on average 32-33k, is that correct?

It depends where you're at...in my area, I'm having trouble finding one without the Entune. It seems like the urban places order Entune while rural places don't (as much).

Double check that you need to spend the couple thousand dollars on the navigation. The base 2013 comes with a real nice touch screen radio and you can use your phone for navigation. IMHO it doesn't seem worth it for $2k

I was just offered a '13 DCSB Silver Mica TRD Off Road with 11 miles on it for $30,298. Had touch screen stereo w/out XM, but bluetooth and rear view camera.

Trying to decide if I want to wait it out for the White DCLB TRD Sport I really want or hop on this deal.

Through the USAA car buying service, I could get get the same truck for $29,298. Hmmmmm.

This is the tentative deal I have on pricing for everything on my 2013 TRD Sport. Its still in build queue for Dec 10th, so I suppose I have room to tweak things a bit, but you guys tell me if this is a good deal.

I had gone out to Truecar.com and spec'd out the truck I wanted with options.

1st - Deal on the truck itself :

    2013 4x4 DCSB TRD Sport MGM/Graphite with :
    - V6 Tow Package
    - JBL Entune w/Nav/Sub
    - Bed Step, Mat, Extender, Spare Lock
    - Roof Rack, Running Boards, Wheel Locks
    - Skid Plate, Mats/Sill Protector, Exhaust Tip

    MSRP - $36,419, Dealer Pricing - $34,421

I negotiated $34,821. $400 over List I think is ok.

    2nd - Deal on Trade In :

2005 Ford Escape 4x4 Sport - Fully Loaded except Cloth Seats
    - 136,000 miles; Looks brand new inside and out, mechanically though has some transmission slipping and a few other minor issues.

Kelley Blue Book for Good Condition is $4600. I was quoted $4500 by a Ford Dealership and $4100 at a local CarMax and used the higher as my asking price.

    I negotiated $4300.

    3rd - Deal on Extended Warranty/Maintenance Plan

I drive roughly 20,000 miles a year, mostly commute highway miles.

    - SRP EW for 6yr/125k - ~$2,340; My price $1,620.
    - SRP Maint for 5yr/75k Full Synth - $2,270; My price $1,455.

So with all the dealing with warranties/maint it comes out to $37182 w/ tax/title minus $4300 for trade and $2000 down.

    Total Finance = $30882.76

That's my deal on the table so far.

I think I'm getting a pretty good deal, but you be the judge.

Before you buy any warranty, call Theresa at Acton Toyota. They sell the Toyota expanded warranties for ridiculously low prices.

I say 33K here in South Cali is about average. I found one I like but I can't justify 2K for entune upgrade, after three years you have to pay $5.00 a year to have the other options available.

look at the costco auto program. it is pretty good,

they find dealers taht are willing to work in that price range of invoice pricing.

Ask for 10% off MSRP. should be pretty standard. that is before rebates

    All,

I just received this email from Troy Dietrich who has had a tradition of offering very low offers on warranties and Extra Care packages.

    ----------------------------------

It was nice talking with you earlier. Here's all the basic info and quotes
    as we discussed:

I am currently offering the Toyota Platinum 7 yr / 125,000 mile Extra Care
    plan w/ $0 deductible for $1144.00, or the 6 yr / 125,000 mile plan for $1019.00
    on a new 2013 Tacoma 4x4.

Most of the details on the Extra Care plans can be found directly at
Toyota's website at the following link, including all the various terms and
options available, just let me know if you would like a quote on a different
    plan.

    http://www.toyotafinancial.com/consumer/tfs.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pg_NewVehicleProtectionPlan

Toyota is now including a 2 yr / 25,000 complimentary maintenance plan with all new vehicles. The upgrade plan for it is called Toyota Care Plus, and it's available as follows in the Premium level coverage:

    Tacoma (V6) -
    5 yr / 55K - $725.00 - 5 yr / 75K - $1155.00

Below is the link for details at the Toyota Financial website:

    http://www.toyotafinancial.com/consumer/tfs.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pg_TACPrepaidMaintenance

Here are the purchase instructions if / when you decide to purchase.

I would need you to mail me an original signed letter indicating the exact
current mileage on your vehicle, and a copy of your current registration.(If
you are in a state where you don't get your state registration right away, I can also use a copy of the bill of sale, purchase contract, or some other
official document which shows the owners name and address, along with the vehicles VIN)

Sorry, I know its a little inconvenient, but its the only way we could come
up to cover ourselves on the mileage and VIN verification. After I receive
your letter, I can call you for credit card info, if that's how you choose
to pay, or you can include a check, money order, or the credit card info
with it. Also, make sure that the registration copy is legible (I have
gotten a couple of them recently that I couldn't read or had part of the VIN chopped off on the copy).

    Mail to:

    Toyota of Greenfield
    1 Main Street
    Greenfield, MA 01301

    Attn: Troy Dietrich

    Phone - (413) 772-0231 (Dealership)
    Phone - (413) 772-0989 (My direct line).
    Fax - (413) 774-2247

    Thanks,

    Troy
