Nah I just spent the last 6 hours trying to make this work.
Just disappointed in myself for not being able to pull this off.
    Sorry for the foul language

I'm not being a smart ass but I put in a '13 Tacoma headunit in my '12 and made up my own wiring harness for the reverse image in the headunit. Really wasn't difficult. Do a search, I think I posted how I did it.

Then someone added that for you. 2012 did not come with that capability. The new headunits did not appear until 2013 and they only displayed in the rear view mirror.

I was reading something like that, I'm wondering if that was the case in my situation because I also have the display in the mirror but it only displays temp and compass.

There is an ebayer that makes and sells these kits shipped for $60, I had one and I loved it. I PMed him recently for another forum member and he told me that eBay came up with some kind of a policy that keeps him from listing them. If anyone needs his eBay handle, PM me. This guy knows his stuff, I spoke with him before I purchased mine.

    Revival!
bought the Ebay kit and still failed :anonymous:

ended up damaging the terminal you insert into the main radio connector. Trying to track down where to find a replacement now.. The rest of the install seems easy and straight forward I just suck with handling tiny little delicate things...

    I feel your pain,
