So the front seats on my 2006 access cab are getting a bit worn (the yellow padding is even starting to show in some areas). A junkyard in my town has a 2013 Tacoma, though I haven't been over to look at it yet.

Would the seats from a 2013 be a drop-in replacement for the 2006 ones? From the pictures they look like the same interior.

Shouldn't be a problem, should be a simple swap.

If the seat foam is intact, not torn up or missing chunks, there are some very nice and durable seat cover solutions also. I've even repaired the seat foam and put a new factory cover on my son's 2011 Silverado for less than $60. Upholstery shops charge a fortune however.

2013 is going to have side seat airbags and 2006 doesn't. No problem there. Check that the connectors for the seat switches are the same.

Awesome thanks everyone. Guess I'll head over to the junkyard tomorrow and see if they're in decent shape.
