I have to replace a tail light on my 2013 sr5. I was wondering if I have to get led or non led.

Either one will work. I swapped the LEDs out for the regular ones on my '09. And BTW, for '13+ they went back it non LEDs on base trucks.

Not true. Some TSS tacomas(2012+) have the base tailights, as in no led's like the more current TRD models have.

I only cracked the housing on mine. All the lights work. Can I just get the non led and switch out the bulbs if by chance I have the led?

You can tell you have LEDs by looking at it. If the center area has multiple minature bulbs forming a circle around the brake light, that is the LED lense.
