Negative on USB with image files. HU won't detect them. This is one of the first things I tried to no avail. Maybe a CD with image files would work? Who knows.

Side note I think the image background thing was just so your album artwork would pop up when playing music off an iPod.

Don't think that is on the 13 touchscreen. Never saw that option. Only image related option of a 13 is for iPod album artwork to be displayed. There is also an option for "screen animation" or something worded like that, and I have no idea what it was. Didn't read up on it in the manual but when I turned it on it seemed to have no effect.

Does anyone know if this stock radio has any pre-amps to hook up an amplifier? I would really like to get better sound out of the stock radio. (2013 SR5 DCSB) non-entune.

The stock radio does not have any pre amps you could use a line level converter to add a set of rca cables just tap into the front or rear speakers with this converter

I ended up buying this harness to use my display for the backup camera. I wonder if the other unoccupied pins can be used for video in?

I saw the thread you started up. I'll probably end up buying the same harness to have the backup camera in the HU.

To anyone else, your probably better off asking Jerez if he ever got anything going with AV. I haven't checked his thread he had so idk.

And again, background image is unchangeable, unless your some professional electronics hacker I suppose.
