oh he was the one that had the airbags deploy? I was just wondering about why he couldn't make it up. im actually thinking of getting a 13 or 14 4runner trail 4x4, and would love to make it to the next moab meet, whenever that may be. it looks amazing.

Yep, that was the guy who had his side curtain airbags deploy. But that was on 7 mile rim later in the trip.

And if I recal, you started up it, didn't go anywhere, and then flipped on the locker and walked up. He had no locker.

The treadwright comment was only half serious, I really don't know how much difference it makes :notsure:

True. But I have Treadwrights too without any issues.

    True^^^^^

Also true. I've been happy with mine for what they are.

LOL, the vehicle wasn't the issue. He had a 4th gen like me, and 06' or 07' I would guess. He had the BFG TKO pattern Treadwrights, whatever they are called. He had issues at 7 mile too, not sure what pressure he was running, but high pressure on slickrock doesn't do well.

Was waiting for you to chime in. And yeah, was also going to bring that up. He had the AT treadwright (BFG copy) not the MT like the rest of you guys have.

Ozmon, don't let one picutre of one rig change you mind....

Hehe, couldn't let a fellow runner get slammed (not really) and not defend them! :duel:

Ozmon, I have taken my runner all over Moab without issue, just as capable as a taco, just a little different in regard to the suspension and 4wd system. One thing that is sweet about the runner is the center diff that will allow you to run in an AWD mode, which is great for the slickrock, as you can make sharp turns without binding the system as normal 4wd does on that type of terrain.

We had to do this more with our 85 4runner. I know it had a spool in the rear, not sure what else. And don't know what our current crawler has lol
