ya ive done them, there cake to do, same with the ball joints, i wanted to upgrade my rear end and get new leaf springs and shackles but i wont have enough money for that ............ eef it thug life all you guys are like upgrading stuff to the maxx, im just driving my truck daily and not doing anything to it, im just going to go as is "/. all ive done is oil services front and rear diff t-case transmission a few months ago, and engine oil and sparks like 2 months ago. Sliders installed and tires and thats it "/ still need the stuff i said earlier. and buy me a 5 jug water containor.


Edit: might be bringing my new pup im getting tomorrow its a Border Collie/Red Heeler mix. excited to get it

Hey guys so just three more weeks until the moab event on the 29th, lets get are shit together, whos going to be leaving on the 29th early morning ? how early ? or would some ppl prefer leaving Tuesday night and drive all night ? let me know i was thinking we should all roll down there together just in case something happens , you never know. Also so we can camp close together.

 

I went last year missing cosmetic parts and only had sliders and tires and did just about every trail as everyone else. You dont really need a lot to have fun. I have spent so much replacing things this year that were worn or broken that I dont have much for more then just driving there, having a kick ass time and driving back.

 

ya well im not going to be doing hard hard core stuff but will see ive gone to moab but this would be my first time taking my very own truck. and so far ive done trails here in utah and my truck has not let me down i'm always surprised everything my truck has been through. cant wait

 

And thats what its all about

 

the sheild is extra weight as far as your truck is concerned and ive done lots of bearings with just a big ass socket set a chisle and a 2lb hammer..

 

I havent really upgraded that much i mean i did a winch a cb some new rubber and other than that im packing tons of spare parts and gonna drive down but from Idaho so even farther than you so i don't wanna hear it.. Side note i did all my big upgrades last year like gears lift 35's and S/C

i fear wrecking a bearing on trail when im frusty, generally speaking though, the wheel bearing will most likely just be swapped at camp not really on the trail unless its falling off lol

What's the catch? I have heard that wheel bearings and hubs are very expensive.

 

I dunno. I just replaced mine and didnt spend more than 60$ to get them. They are expensive if you go Beck/Arnley or a more expensive brand they can be up to 80$ a piece.

 

Maybe it's the labor then. Maybe j just heard or remember wrong. Maybe it doesn't matter because I am just glad to hear that they are cheaper than I thought.

Ate yours working well enough? I might just look for something priced in the middle
