    3xLocked, lifted, well used
    Metal Masher is no big deal for most of the trucks that will be there. The hard obstacles like Rock Chucker and Widow Maker can be bypassed. It's a fun trail and if you bypass those two hard obstacles it's an easier trail than Cliffhanger, or GoldenSpike, and probably on par with the climb out of Kane Creek as the most difficult.

    Widow Maker has gotten so much worse (harder) over the past few years. I ran Metal Masher for the first time back in 1999 in my FJ40 and Widow Maker was tough then. I nearly rolled my 40 over backwards on it. In the last 10 years it has gotten very dug out at the bottom and the ledge is probably 4' higher than it was the first time I did it. The longer wheelbase of the Tacomas will probably help but it's a tough obstacle.

    Much younger version of Box Rocket on Widow Maker ca.1999 :)

    That is a sick 40 Adam... I want one of those one day! I'm anxious to get this 4Runner out there but I love wheeling the Tacoma and it makes for a much more comfortable drive out to Moab

    Also thanks for the info on his build guys, my 4Runner is on 35s, 4.88, 4.7 Marlin, 22re

    yea '85, on 40s starting this year,4.7 gear swap in his case...nothing really done to the engine except flex fuel conversion, he normally runs E85 in it...3" TG lift i believe...yes internal cage...i'm sure he's gone through and beefed up all his axles and gears knowing him, but idk the full specs

    jace would be able to chime in with more accuracy i'm sure

    Thanks, I'm planning to drive down to Moab next weekend and hit some trails and I was just wondering about his build so I could figure out what trails I should visit. I did a couple in my Tacoma when I first bought it last year but it was basically stock, much better off now!

    Your mod list is pretty stout as well man, you have a build thread or any pictures of yours?... Just need to put some skids on the Tacoma and it should be ready for most trails on this trip. The 4Runner is already set to do some of the more difficult lines.
