Haha.. yeah, that's me- and my stocker rig.. I made it back and forth a few times, it was harder going toward my rig as it was a bit downhill

 

X2 on that, and people roll around to each bonfire to shoot the shit for a while. It's a great community, and everybody felt welcome- even if their rigs were stock Like me haha. This year, I'll actually have some mods on mine

 

I love slacklining! Ive never thought about hooking it up between vehicles. I will be bringing my slackline kit with me, although there will be enough recovery straps around that I doubt it will be the only setup for doing that. I have tender feet though and I'm not very good at slacklining so i guess i just fall into the rocks and toughen up my dawgs.

 

Last year we had a couple fires going but we did have a night with one huge bonfire and well, we used some local (dead and lying on the ground) tree. After my hatchet and Monte's ax we had more than enough wood. Good thing we had drunk dudes who liked to cut wood ha ha!

 

I LOVE cutting wood. Such a good workout, releases aggression, and its generally accepted while drunk. I need to sharpen my stihl felling axe before I head out to Moab, but i need to get a splitting maul too.

 

Not really a whole lot of wood to be chopped in moab and you have to be careful of the BLM boundaries in camp as they are right next to us. Probably best to just bring wood.

 

DO NOT CUT DOWN TREES AT BFE!!!!

I don't care if it's BFE or BLM land!

Olaf had said it last year and will be again this year...

bring bundles purchased, wood gathered legally elsewhere, wood from home, etc. but cutting down trees at and around the BFE property is not allowed!

We used dead wood on the ground last year. I don't think anyone was dumb enough to cut a tree down.

For sure. Even in Forest land with a permit I have a hard time felling trees, even the dead ones. I never cut down a living one. But if I bring a few tree trunks that have been removed from peoples yards (my buddy does that as a side job) then there will be wood to cut. When there is one that is fallen here in CO I will SOMETIMES cut it up and use it, but even those are beneficial for insects and small animals.

You brought it to use, haha, to put shame to my hatchet, which in my defense had just been used to chip mine rock so it was very dull.

And you are right of course Bob, last year we didnt but good to throw it out for this year as well. Looks like a bunch of new people.

what a guy cant make a joke? athough i did run over lots of trees at my dads house with my old truck.. but nothing in Utah.
