    I would do the skids man! I don't think you can really get an HC rear setup for $700.

    Im still leaning that way because I have a feeling the ATO skids will have a lot more precise bends and bends in places that makes them stronger. Plus I don't have much time to spend making my own. But the money saved making my own is really tempting. And no, the HC setup I want is more than $700. I looked at CBI and they make a rear that I love, but its about $1800 if I remember right.

    Oh and I am sorry that I jacked the Moab thread with my mod ideas. I will try to move this conversation to my build or the CO bs thread.

    You didnt really jack this thread, at least not in a bad way. About half of this thread is bsing about mods for Moab:D pretty sure thst after the details of the trip were laid out, the floor was opened to bs about mods. Haha

    My HC dual swing gate was 1300 from CBI..

    Well the whole reason I am spending every free dime on the truck is so that Moab will be more accessible by may. 30. I guess this is a decent place to get this figgered out.

    Yeah I don't have that much to spend right now. I may see about getting the rear section of exhaust routed or at least figured out for when I go hc. Since I will be doing exhaust work for the skids anyway.

    A small handful of select mods.
    Just dump the exhaust over the rear of the axle to be state compliant. Like so:

    Rear bumper talk to Scotty at Addicted. My customer rear was a great price from him. I am sure with swing outs it might be more.

    Mine is cut the same way. Although I might cut it before the axle and dump it out the side, but I haven't looked into what might get in the way. Might turn my tires a nice shade of muck.

    thats unlikely. mine hits the bumper a little but it's no big deal. keeps the ice off of it.:D

    No this is new from the cats back from BDM with re-route for T case Skid. But before i did this I cut my OEM exhaust off at the same point as well.
    It's hard to tell from the pic but it is dumped right after the axle tube up high at almost frame level. Nothing will get in that space short of me tubing the entire rear frame setting up a rear 3 link suspension. :D
    Colorado Emissions laws require the exhaust to exit after the rear most axle for cars and trucks. So for here it keeps it legal. :)

    Yeah but now I have a very small dull vibration that I am scared may be a wheel bearing. That may trump whatever mod comes next. I just have to wait and see if it gets worse. Hopefully I can get tires first. Then the tires will be there and the wife will still have to let me fix it. But if it needs the work first, I may end up spending tire money on that.
