My bushmaster is going to be at my local freight yard Friday :woot:

Swing out with spare tire holder, 2 rotopax gas cans, rigid industries srm2 led reverse lights. Can't fucking wait to see it/install it

    This^
if you're going to regear, do it since you already have to drop the front diff. If you aren't going to regear but can afford a front locker, do it. Worst case scenario is you won't need it real often and maybe you break a cv if you're being aggressive. From what I've seen, if you can keep the front wheels straight, your cvs should be fine. Most of the time they seem to snap when the wheels are turned.

ECGs is great as they also offer good warrenty and will help you replace anything that breaks for a good price.

the Puma compressor is the one i was looking at getting as well till i decided CO2 was a better way to go. Im going to run my lockers off it as well.

This is what i was going to buy and retro fit

Lockers running off co2? That's interesting.. Do you have a way to keep the pressure in the lines and fill your tires at the same time? Not that you would need too.. Just wondering about the plumbing.

ARB makes a CO2 manifold for the solenoids.

you have to have an adjustable regulator on the CO2 tank. Then i just plan on having a T fitting post the regulator. The tire hose connector will be right there then ill probably do a hard lines to the manifold under the truck with a shut off valve right there post regulator.

I need the valve as you would leave the regulator at 80psi for the lockers. but for tires you want 150-200psi. or air tools at 120. The valve will allow me to isolate the lockers so i can safely increase the pressure to 150 or whatever i want.

20lb tank equals like 10s of thousands or articulations of the lockers too.

I'll probably pick up a 5lb back up/portable tank though at some point.

I'll just leave this here. I've run Helldorado in my FJ40 and that final climb is gnarly when dry.

But I can't even imagine trying it in these conditions with a literal waterfall flowing down it. Crazy

He has a 2nd gen. As farbas I know there currently aren't any manual hubs kits anymore and I know of a few guys running 36's and 37's on here that haven't had any cv troubles with a front locker.

I say do it! I love my front locker! Allows you to do so much more! It's surprising how effective they are!

Finger is hovering over the order button on my cart at ECGS..

Blackdawg, I was thinking about doing that same exact setup... Might still do it. I have a feeling that by the time I get that Puma setup the way I want it, I'll be in for about as much if not more than one of the ARB twin tanks. I just like the idea of doing it DIY style, though.

Money's not an issue... It's just the mental barrier of justifyin dumping this much into the rig at one time. Got the winch line GB and selling a few other things to try to finance this without dipping into savings.

I know this was raised before... But is OP alright with me talking so much tech in here??
