Worth a shot. Haha. Those tires kind of look like his TSL's.

Eric, you are probably right, especially since I've heard that re gearing is a good idea when going up in size that much with tires.

However, Bob, if you are going huge with your tires, I would appreciate if I could pick your brain about what/how you are going to have to do to get them in there.

Apparently we need to see more pics of Sierra Expedition's 2nd gen. Only pic I've seen is the one you posted a few pages back when discussing the KOH time attack.

Oh when I buy those I will be going 35's. Not re-gearing beforehand. I am going to see how the truck does and then decide on gears vs. a crawl box/FJ case.

BFH- I see. So really not too much other stuff needed to stuff 35s in there? I know I gained some room with the bumper, but I thought I would need to run wheel spacers and do a cab mount chop and a bunch of other stuff. Maybe I will just try to go 35s right away.

Yes, you will need to do a cab mount chop. You'll also need to get wheel spacers or new wheels with enough backspacing so you don't rub on the UCA.

So really, the only additional cost (other than a little bit more for tires) is the wheel spacers ($100-$200) or wheels ($?). Cab mount chop can be done for $20.

Yeah you will need these to do it right. The BFH will pretty much remove your fenders and then they will fit. :D

Well sheet. I hate my rims, but don't want to spend money that could go somewhere more useful on rims. Spacers aren't too bad, but I don't know. The CMC parts are cheap, I just need to see if my bro could weld them on for me. I don't even know what that job consists of.

If you have some scrap steel laying around, just make your own CMC plates for free. :D The job consists of cutting the cab mount and welding on a plate to cap it off. Or if you're like me, cut it and don't weld in the plate and just leave it as is cause you're lazy, haha.

Also, wheel spacers are commonly resold. So you could probably pick up a used set and then sell them again when you upgrade wheels if you want and inexpensive temporary option.

This ^^ and make sure the spacers you pick up are Hub-Centric so they don't move around. I have been running them for several years. No issues. Spidertrax FTW!

Good ideas. I need to see someone elses CMC job to see if it is something I could do. Any benefit/drawback to running spacers vs. wheels with more spacing? any drawback of changing BSpacing in terms of wheel bearing life?

Yeah, bearings will wear a bit faster with your wheels further out. New wheels or spacers will have the exact same effect. The only difference between the two is one set-up has 6 lug nuts and the other has 12. Some would argue that there is just a greater chance of failure with the spacers, but there's a lot of people that run them and wheel them hard with no problems.

I did WishboneRunner's cab mounts a month or so ago and he put up a couple pics in his build thread. I'm sure there plenty of pics out there though on this site of that mod.

    Here's a pic:
