    Oh I'm still excited, I'm sure it will be useful in other situations than the crack. At least it better be, depending on the compressor I get, it will be the priciest mod I have done! Not sure, but I wonder if the longer wheelbase might actually help on the crack. I need to watch some more videos to remind myself of what it looks like.

    At any rate, I hope to get through most of the shit I come across with minimal help. Plenty of spotting, but hopefully won't have to winch much.

    You know I got this gen 1 ARB compressor sitting in a drawer in my garage. I was told it works back when I got it. It will run your locker no problem. I might just decide to unload it cheap if you want it.

    I would definitely be interested. I heard earlier ones had overheating problems, but since I won't be using it for anything but the locker, I'm sure it would be fine. Let me know what you might want for it and I'm sure we can make a deal.

    Is it missing anything I might need to install it?

    If its the same arb compressor I have on the FJ40 they are good little units. I have been running it since 2000 or so for the rear locker with no issues.

    I will probably be buying a viair portable 12v compressor. Not quite as convenient, but easier to help out others on the trail if they are not close to you. Still have decent power to fill bigger tires too. Plus I'm used to using a cheapo cigarette light compressor now. The only way I would use the same compressor for the locker and accessories would be if I got the ARB dual. or double compressors and a tank I guess, but I would always have the locker(s) on their own.
