My Taco seems to be lugging, or straining, just to hold it's own while just cruising down the road. It starts downshifting at the sight of any hill. I feel it would be a lot more comfortable, & not be lugging or straining as much, if it could be ran in 3rd gear with the converter locked, or in 4th with the converter not locked. Either scenario should have it cruising at 300 to 400 higher RPM. If I move the shifter to 3rd, it drops to 3rd gear & keeps the converter unlocked, that raises the RPM appx 700 to 800. As I understand this converter locks electrically, I would like to find a plug, or possibly a fuse, that would be simple to disconnect, just so I could give it a try & see how it felt with the extra 300 to 400 RPM. Any idea's? Thanks
