I Have this 4.0 tacoma 4x4 2013. Idler pullys at random go out every 3-5 weeks. Ive bought some online and some at toyota dealerships....makes no difference... they all just burn up...bearings dry out and squeal and i change them right as they are coming apart. And suggestions???

Something is putting undue tension on that pulley. Have you check your tensioner for freedom of movement? and have you checked all other pulleys for good movement as well? edit: waterpump Alt, and AC for movement as well?

That tensioner takes alot of arm to move. I curse it everytime i do this. Im wondering if maybe that thing somehow is to much?

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Something is not right. I have 265k on the ODO with all original pulleys. Changed belt at 100 and 200k.

Which side of the idler pulley are you installing the bushing on?
