Lots. Will do a write up shortly.
Although the ops original post was kind of funny. THe quote above is the point I think he was trying to get across. That there is an abundance of information on this site and plenty of people eager to help. I also love that about this site.

Stick your finger up your ass and rub under your nose and you will soon forget all of these problems.

I was just thinking to myself how great forums are at sharing information. But damn they are expensive. Sometimes ignorance is cheaper than knowledge. How much have I spent on BluTaco because of the information I have gotten off this site? I would rather not calculate it!

Thanks to everyone who checked out this post and shared a laugh or even just snickered and related a little bit! Hell, thanks to the people who hated this post, since you know damn well you live with this most of this stuff everyday too. I am new in your lands, and we shall bond through painful honesty. And apparently also pictures of Yoda and Gollum (Chris & Oz, I almost passed coffee through my nose reading the reply string).

Think of this list of gripes as my personal starting point using this forum to make this Tacoma MY Tacoma (nailed it BioMarine). Hopefully it gets a few laughs along the way. I could easily put together a much bigger list of the things that F-ing ROCK about this truck, so to the 'You-shoulda-shopped-arounders' all I can say is Bite My All-Toyota-Stealth-Black Metal A**. If this was any other truck my gripes would be things like:

    1) 75K mile transmission life expectancy
    2) Interior control knobs fall off in your hands
    3) AC discharges freon into the cab ventilation system from time to time
    4) Looks like Optimus Prime's morning growler

How's that working out for the Dodge Dakota again?

Oh and for the record, I admit I turned in my Man Card for giving up the Manual Trans in my 01. But this is a family truck and the wife will need to make a grocery run from time to time. I wanted like  to get the 6-speed when I found out they offered it. Sigh...

Fun Fact: contrary to popular belief I do NOT hate Fords. I was an auto parts store manager for 4 years, Fords bought me two motorcycles and paid most of my bills. ;)

Specific points in this reply string:

Pugga - I believe the pedal is adjusted correctly. I made a few "utter disbelief" (that these problems were present in my truck) trips back to the dealer in the weeks that followed my purchase to check out other trucks and found even the SR5s share most of these, including pedal position.

Miniceptor - Thanks for the tips on the mileage. I've read on TacomaWorld there may be better filters than my K&N and I think with a few miles it will pick up too. As my father has always said of the various Toyotas we have owned, "When a GM car hits 85K miles, its time to throw it away. When a Toyota hits 85K miles, all of the engine internals have seated and it will pick up a MPG or two."

Jw1983 - I could write the same list again about why I love these trucks. I guess I just expected more from Toyota in 2013, since my 2001 Tacoma Excab had every thing a guy could want and then some. Except for enough room for two sons (very unfortunately).

File IFR - Nope, all three windows lock or none do with one button. You actually can't even roll down the other windows with the driver controls if the lock is on. Its just another button to fiddle with while I'm dodging RPG rounds in the wastelands on the way to work in the morning...

Thanks again for the read, advice, counter-gripes and most of all making the rest of this forum such a valuable resource!

I have enjoyed reading your post and laughed my ass off. If we get to a point where we can't air our concerns about such expensive purchases we will be in bad shape. Toyota used to say Moving Forward, and that is what we want them to do. Glad you joined and look forward to more of your posts.

    Nice rant, OP.

I was disappointed with some things on this Gen II. Still no rear discs. They can put autolocking front hubs and an auto transfer case on all the Tacomas, but they can't put rear discs or the premium 270HP 4.0L in the Tacoma. No sir, that's only for the 4runner or the FJ.

The rear step bumper you can barely step on, it's only about 3 inches deep, if you're gonna put a step bumper on a truck, make it so you can get your foot on it to step up on. This thing I can barely get my toes on to get into the bed. It's a cosmetic attachment, not a step bumper.

They couldn't make the Access Cab windows vent? How hard is that to do? They couldn't put real mudflaps on it instead of these hard plastic things? They couldn't put real skid plates on it like the Gen I? They had to downgrade the Gen I skid plates and mudflaps? For what reason?

Don't get smartass and tell me I should have bought the 4runner.
