My Tacoma is fucked and dealer is telling me to pound sand, that the vehicle is "operating as designed" but at 47k miles out of no where my traction control started malfunctioning and became ultra sensitive... now when in a super-elevated turn even at low speeds one front wheel pulses pulling me in opposite direction I am steering. Left or right sweeping turns same problem... scary stuff.

Dealer is actually suggesting I deactivate the Traction Control each time I drive it... Really???

What's worse is even with the "TRAC OFF" light on (after holding down button 3 seconds to deactivate traction control...) now if I so much as touch the brake pedal while in a turn it once again pulses the wheel and pulls me wrong direction... basically the truck thinks it is in a slide even though it is nowhere close to breaking loose, and it pulls me into on coming traffic. fyi... I have same wheels and tires since day one...

Beyond scary!!! I literally should not be driving this vehicle, certainly can;t let anyone else drive it... and dealer says truck is fine cause they see no fault codes. UFB!!!

are there any lights on the dash lit constantly?

Have them do a zero point calibration.

Thanks for the greetings, replies and welcome sentiments everyone!

    So...

    A) What is a "zero point calibration"?

    B) NO lights are displayed constantly on the dash after truck is started or during driving. But of course when I deactivate the traction control (by holding down button 3 seconds while vehicle is NOT in motion) yes I show "TRAC OFF" and the other yellow light showing squiggly lines behind the car icon...

the lights coming on as you suggest is another common problem I see TONS of complaints about on line about that. Clearly there are tons of issues with Traction Control on Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia, this is just another one. There is already a recall on this truck related to that problem but mine is a different beast.

    B) I already disconnected my battery for about three hours at the suggestion of the Shop Foreman (MASTER TECH) on site at Northridge Toyota, took it for a drive and same problem persists.

    C) I'll look into this yaw sensor recalibration procedure. Interesting... sounds like it would be something like that since it happens in both directions and it started on the same drive... and the system seems ultra sensitive now, I have to say... it seems highly unlikely that two wheel sensors would go out at precisely the same minute.

Just a side note... I found it very interesting that the dealer would not put in writing that I should "disable the traction control", of course they never write stuff like that down for obvious reasons.

I am quite certain that the Manufacturer is legally obligated to fix this problem at no charge... since it is a "Safety Feature" that the DOT Mandates; ALL NEW VEHICLES SOLD IN THE U.S. MUST HAVE ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT and this is the problem.

When I first bought my truck they had the tires way overinflated and it caused some issues like that.

The truck is not sliding, this has nothing to do with the tires, same tires on truck for first 47,000 miles and they are the same overall size as factory tires. It's clearly a computer or sensor issue
