2013 Tacoma OEM Backup Camera Install Question

I think the issue might be the reverse trigger wire getting good contact. I’m pushing that wire into the second top hole from right but it doesn’t seem to want to go all the way in and stay. Not sure how to unlock the connector.
I would think I would get a picture on the screen even without that connected though when I click on display/camera to adjust camera settings?

 

Wanting to do the same thing but I don't think my radio is compatible for a camera as there are no options on the radio for camera adjustments? Do i need to buy a radio that had a camera on it?

 

IT WORKS! I was able to get the wire terminal in far enough to make connection and lock in. Works great

 

So what head unit do you have?
