Has anyone tried to program their remote on a 2013 Tacoma to unlock all doors when unlock on remote has been pressed ONCE?

I see different posts with methods, but it looks like it has only been applied to older models.

Just drop by the dealer, make them do it. If you have the alarm with the annoying horn that goes off when you lock it they can turn that off too.

I didn't even know that was possible...I hate having the smash the unlock button 3 billion times to get the back doors open...making the beep go off even more times..

I'd hate to be in front of you at a stop light when it goes green. Relax...... You only have to push the button twice. If you do it while you are approaching your truck, they will all be open by the time you get to the truck, and you won't lose a second of your day.

I actually thought about taking it to the dealer, but I wonder how much they would charge for that...

Funny I was just asking about that yesterday. So it can be done at the dealer?

It's the worst when you walk all the way around to the other side of the truck to open the passenger door just to find out its still locked, then have to walk back around to open the door from the driver side cause the keys are sitting on the seat.

I think you might be too anxious to unlock the doors :). If the button is pressed 2X, too quickly, it won't work. If you wait more than 3 seconds after the first press, it won't work either.

BTW, I wouldn't mind the one press/all door program for my truck.

Unless they've changed something from the previous year trucks there's no way to do it. Trust me, I exhausted all possible avenues and even some most people don't have and it can't be done. I saw someone post somewhere about a cable and software to be able to modify factory controls but I don't know if this is one of the codes that can be accessed. That would be about your best bet because it's not something that can be adjusted at the dealer level. No way. No how.

I finally just popped for a remote start & alarm system from DEI that allows me to do LOTS of stuff from my mobile phone or remote... either way. Now all my doors (both?) unlock with the single press of a button and I haven't looked back.

It's BS that I can't make MY truck do what I want it to do. I don't give a hobo's crap about safety or blah blah blah. If I can't buy (not rent) a $30k+ truck in America with my own hard earned money and do what I want with it regardless of safety... How free are we?

Can somebody provide this information to the employees at the Toyota dealerships?

Every dealership I've been to since remotes became common they seem to feel the need to hit the button 4 or 5 times... and then the owners do it too.

To disable the beep when locking and unlocking:

    open driver door
    insert key into ign
    remove from ign
within 5 seconds reinsert key and turn ign switch on
after 10 seconds MAY give you an answer back buzzer
within 10 seconds after that hit a transmitter button twice to change the setting.

I'm with the rest, takes two button presses to unlock all the doors.

Worked great. On my 2003 I just disconnected the little pizo siren but that is much better

Maybe this sounds a little paranoid, and it kinda depends on the type of area you live in, but I wouldn't want all the doors to open at once. As a retired leo, I've always tried to park my car so when I return to it I approach the drivers' side. I've tried to teach my wife this also. Point being that, especially for her, she would - with one button push opening all doors, be unlocking the car where she isn't sure it's safe to do so. I'm sure it sounds a little crazy to some, but crazy shit happens. Just an angle to consider.
