    Was at my local dealer for service recently and was wasting time browsing around a 2012 Tacoma when a salesman asked if I was ready to trade up, I told him hell no I hate the new front end on the Tacoma, he said don't worry and to wait another year and a half (2014) cuz the Tacoma is getting a full redesign and will be way more similar to the 4 runner and will have the Dual VVT-I
    I asked if there were any plans for a V8 like the 4.7 in the Tundras, he said no plans for a V8.

    I was told & have heard that the 2013 models will come with smaller engines with direct injection. More power less fuel.:)
    When it comes to diesel Tacomas, Toyota will wait until Nissan sales show its worth it.

    There will be no 2013 redesign. No way, why refresh a truck and then redesign the following year? They're not going to do it.

    I just saw on some third party opinion (cant remember where I read it) that 2014 will be a change and it will look very similar to the Toyota Hulix which is available as we speak overseas. My guess is diesel will be available 2015 with the change of the EPA requirements. Just a guess....
