    Hi All,

I've been trying to de-pin this guy for a few hours and I'm almost at my wit's end. Has anyone done this before? Any tips/tricks/advice? Do I need a special tool?

    Thanks in advance.

There's usually a secondary lock that has to be removed or disengaged first before the pins will unlatch.
The diagrams below don't show your exact connector but maybe it will give you an idea of what to look for.

I have two driver side rear view mirrors - one's got a broken mount and the other's got a broken mirror. I'm going to take the non-broken mount section from one and the non-broken mirror section from the other => fixed mirror! I needed to de-pin the connector so I can detach the pieces of the mirror.

vshake I'm going to swap 2012 4Runner side mirrors onto my 2014 Tacoma. I was wondering how easy it was to depin the wires after you removed the pieces of the harness? Did the wires come out easily or did you still have to use a depinning tool to get them out?

I ask because I could not depin the 4Runner side mirror wires from the harness. It was such a pain! I gave up trying to depin them and used a dremel to grind away the harness and free up the wires!

vshake I tried to take my side window harness apart this weekend and I couldn't figure out how to do it. Could you provide instruction as to how you got the pieces of the harness to separate? Thanks.
