2013 Tacoma TPMS Alloy Wheels

Good morning everyone, I just bought some wheel with no TPMS Sensors, I had the metal wheels before, the old sensors don't fit the new wheels, does anyone knows the replacements sensors for Alloy wheels?

When I installed my 3rd gen alloys(19) on my 13 I bought new sensors for them, I went to the rock and used a 5% off code and bought

$38 DENSO 5500103 Denso 550-0103 TPMS 315-MHZ Sensor for Toyota/Lexus with Factory Alloy Wheel Options. (THIS SENSOR MUST BE PROGRAMMED BEFORE USE), Black

DENSO 5500103 for alloys wheels. Then after they were installed I had to program to the truck. Good luck keep us posted.

Good to hear. I stopped traffic as one of my Costco Tire guys was backing a Tundra out of a bay and parked it in one of their spots reserved for tire shop customers. He said their business is slowing down but they'll get busier in March, so I'll load up the factory charcoal alloy takeoffs from a Gen3 (out of a Salt Lake City wheel and tire shop, appropriate area for serious off-road larger wheels and tires), new lug nuts and TPMS sensors (programmed for 2008-2012 OBDII systems), and go in tomorrow morning so they can remount the tires when they have time this week. I also picked up a single alloy wheel (with rubber stem valve) to replace the steel spare (and order a new tire). After replacing the center for one of the steel wheels (ouch!), the newer Toyota alloys (with centers!) are a happy deal!

 

Happy Groundhog Day! The Gen3 charcoal alloy wheels (with centers), new TPMS sensors and standard length lug nuts (eBayMotors ~$198 total per wheel kitted) were installed this morning at the "winter tire swap" rate of $49.96. Mike (one of three) said he went around twice and the TPMS sensors are reading (no additional charges). I have a new spare Michelin Defender LTX MS 245/75R16 arriving in 5-10 days and will take in the fifth alloy wheel so it can be mounted before I hang it under the bed. (And have the original Dunlop spare dismounted and disposed of so I can save or sell the set of 5 steel wheels, centers and acorn lug nuts. (Compared to $89 for a replacement center for a steel wheel, the factory takeoff set was a no-brainer. I really like the new look and ride on the slightly lighter wheels!

We just figure on another six weeks of winter every year, but now in north Idaho, we're wondering how our last decent snowfall happened nearly five weeks ago.
I greeted my K-5 students this morning with "Welcome to a wonderful Wednesday woodchuck, gopher, groundhog, marmot day!" and as I left school for Costco Tire, we all figured that if we see our shadow, we're going to try to soak up some sun!" (I'm still quite happy to be down here after thirty years in coastal Alaska, where I often lived in places where annual precip was 160-200 inches. My fellow shop steward in Cordova, AK has been a lifelong Steelers fan, and a niece was on the Carnegie Mellon traveling volleyball team when they all had their picture taken with Hines Ward, great smiles all 'round. BTW, he often wore his Steelers jacket while traveling, and was stopped in the Seattle air terminal once as a Seahawk fan told him, "You lost us the Super Bowl." No way any other team's fans consider themselves the "12th man." If I had a contract...)

I think it looks even better on this "Thrilling Thursday the Third" since an inch of snow fell last night, our first snowfall in about five weeks, especially at school this morning (and I'm home by about 9 a.m., so I can only think about the school lunch menu, sloppy joes today). Beats me how "my tire guys" had such pleasant weather yesterday for the wheel swap, and today we're back to easing into winter again! Dad had the same specs for ordering this, his last truck, as I do. Red for winter, 4 cylinder, 5-speed manual, and 4wd (he liked the electric switching). Time for lunch!
