The other day I was coming home for lunch pulled in the driveway and noticed a line of trans fluid. I got underneath the truck and saw the fluid was coming out of the bell housing overflow... I called toyota care to have my truck towed in to the dealership. because it got in late that day the techs were unable to look at it on saturday. Today I called in for an update, the service adviser told me it was leaking from the trans pump?! This truck was bought with 5 miles on the odometer and has less then 5,000 miles on it... hasn't even been in for it's first scheduled maintenance! The weird thing is that I traced the trans fluid through the neighborhood and it started 120 yards from my house, out of nowhere going approximately 20 mph?

Is there anything that makes sense about this or has anyone else heard of similar issues

even if something happened to the trans it would be covered by warranty. I just want my truck back! they put me in a dodge ram 2500 heavy duty 4 wheel drive POS. I hate it

A long time ago a dealer tried to stick my wife in a Ford while they had her Sienna Van for a month. She refused and requested to speak to the General Manager. When he asked her what was wrong she asked why a Toyota Dealership was renting Fords for their customers to drive while they are getting warranty work. She stated if she had wanted to drive a Ford she would have bought one. He was shocked that the service department was doing this. Took her on the lot and told her to choose whatever vehicle she wanted for a rental.

Maybe this will work for you also. Sound reasoning in my opinion.
