    Hello

Long time Toyota guy here, I've owned 1988(first one); then a 1984 single cab followed by a 1998, then1986 HJ, to a new 2012 and now a 2017.

Looking at a 2013 with 220,000 km on it(136,000 miles) TRD Sport. Anyone have one with that amount of km's/miles on it?

I should have kept the 2012, but you know how that happens...

Nothing really changed from 2012-2015 except for some minor upgrades to the stereo system and backup camera being moved from the rearview mirror to the screen on the radio.
Drivetrains are identical except for a small improvement to the Secondary Air Injection System on the V6 to make it a bit more reliable.
Pretty common to get well over 200k with no major issues providing proper maintenance is done and your not towing super heavy.

As with any used vehicle do your homework and inspect the truck carefully (especially the frame) or have a pre-purchase inspection done by a reputable shop if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.

I believe the 2013 is a facelifted second gen.... I'm sure somebody can correct me on that. However, it's got the 4.0 in it. My grandfather has the 2015 SR5 and he loves it (not sure on miles but it's low). I have the 2007 TRD Sport with just over 200k miles and it has given me no issues in the 20k I've owned it.

The facelift (Commonly called Gen 2.5) was from 12-15, the 2nd gen trucks basically had 3 year ranges where some minor things changed.

Just a few things I know of:
05-08 (start of gen 2, standard safety systems were pretty basic, 05-early 06 V6s had some issues with headgaskets and motor mounts)
09-11 (Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control and side seat airbags became standard and some minor changes were made to the drive-train to improve reliability)
12-15 (Front grill, hood, and headlights were redesigned, stereo system received a few updates, and a few minor drive-train upgrades were made (also the tuning in the PCM is slightly different))

Going to keep mine as long as I can. Passenger seat heater crapped out. Spent a few hours today and did the module fix. The truck is awesome. I plan on upgrading mufller then replace spacer lift with some bilstein components. Maybe get another pair of shoes some 255/75/17 yoko geos on replica TRDs. Always something to upgrade or fantasize about doing to her…upload_2023-1-29_19-12-30.png
