    Anyone experience this???

Just a little info, the truck only has 9500 miles on it. It's a 13' TRD off-Road DCSB. I drive maybe 20 miles a day.

1.) While at a complete stop, with the brake matted, the truck slightly inches forward. It's like the brakes slightly ease up on their own.

2.) Probably every 10th start the truck doesn't turn over on the first turn. Checked the battery and it's fully charged.

    Thanks.

#1 my 2012 does the same..you basically learn to have more pressure than youre used to have to.

#2 yeah... seems that if you don't nail the key turn then the truck struggles to start.

here are some you'll find as well

-from a stop, give it a hard acceleration and you'll probably notice a crazy drivetrain shaking from 15-25mph. (toyota has a fix for it...but they don't even know about it at dealers)

-at around 80mph+, if you have a lot of cross winds, you'll get a very annoying loud ish whistle coming through your vents..and closing them won't stop it, only slowing down.

-if you have the off road package check to see if you have 3 or 4 leafs on you leaf spring pack. if its 3, don't bother putting more than 300-400lbs back there..youll bottom out just hitting a dip on the road...but it makes for smooth dirt road ride i guess.

-you might have the weather striping noise at the doors that happens right by your ear that sounds as if something is loose, or ajar...some armor all on it or something of the sort stops it for a few months

If you are running AC or Defrost try turning it off and see if your truck still lurches at a stop... mine only does it when AC compressor kicks on... (2014)

I have noticed the shaking on hard accelerations. Thought it was just the big dog eating.

It has been doing it all winter. I tried turning stereo and heat off as well and still does it.

    1) I have noticed this with the AC compressor turning off and on. If I don't have the pedal pressed hard it will want to move forward.

    2) Mine will occasionally not start right up if I let off the key too quickly on the first attempt. It will take longer on the 2nd attempt.

Mine does it all the time if I sit at stop lights from the day I bought it .I have 5000km on it now and still doing it. It feels like it shifted into a lower gear.

Dont know what its called, but there is a device on the throttle that increases rpm when the a/c compressor kicks on. This keeps the engine from stalling from the extra load on the engine at idle speed. Correct me if I'm wrong guru's, but is what I was told. Makes since

Sometimes I wonder how cheap the materials are in the Tacomas. I love my truck but the body panels dent so freaking easily and now the forearm rest in the driver side door cracked when I put my weight on it (180lbs). It didn't tear through the outside fake leather material but caves in every time I lean over on it, mainly to fart lolzz.

The materials are cheap in most all cars. These companies are all about profits! The body panels are one thing but I am surprised you haven't discovered how shitty the paint is yet! Could have sworn that would be your next complaint.

When you say the paint is shitty do you mean how easily it scratches? Bc minus the scratches my mgm paint is solid.

It looks great, new, but yes, scratches very easily. Highly suggest keeping it hard waxed, it will scratch less easily.

I just feel that Tacoma interiors are cheapily made compared to the Ford/GMC trucks I've been in. But all in all the taco will be on the road much longer. You're paying for that I know. I will never own anything but a Toyota.

To make fuel efficient vehicles requires reducing weight. Thinner plastics make for lighter vehicles, but not necessarily cheaper. Likewise thinner metal makes for lighter vehicles that are more easily dented.

Frankly, I recently went from a 2007 Ford F150 to a used 2010 Tacoma and the Ford looked and felt cheaper to me than the Taco. I'm already sold on the Tacoma being a better, longer lasting vehicle :)

Blame the EPA for the paint scratches. Reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) were madated on paints after 1997. Those compounds are what made older paints durable and easier to spray smoothly. Paints still have VOCs but in much lesser amounts so all newer vehicles suffer scratches these days.

I thought the same thing was happening to my 2014 OR 4x4.
It really turns out I was not keeping enough pressure on the brake pedal.

As far as the starting issue I was not turning and holding the key in the start position long enough.

Once I made adjustments I have never had any more problems.

My 14 off road does same thing. I hear/ feel the brake booster pumping sometimes when it inches forward. I don't like it. I sometimes fine myself barely holding the brake at a light next thing I k ow truck lurches forward.
