    No worries about the thread jacking. bullaculla, it looks like you've got entune. You may just have to sign up on entune's website to get access to more apps. From what I gathered (which may be total BS) the new headunits came in 2 flavors:
    Non-JBL = no sat, no navi, no entune
    JBL= sat radio, navi, entune

    Cool, Thanks. I only wanted the JBL because I knew I would not be happy with the standard HU, and would eventually empty my wallet on an aftermarket system. All the extras was a nice surprise.

    Nice looking wheels. But, what's entune and what did it run you out the door?

    Entune is Toyota's "app" service. The basic premise is that you use your smart phone's data plan to run apps through the factory head unit. There are pre-installed apps including; Bing, Pandora, I Heart Radio, weather, sports scores & traffic. I think you can add more through the entune website (which you have to register through to use the service). Again, entune apps (not including navi) use your phone's data plan to run the apps.
    With that being said, if you want navi it only comes with an entune enabled system to date. You don't have to sign up for entune if you never plan to use it. In that case there will just be some extra on-screen buttons you never use.
    Out the door pricing was $35, 280. That's somewhere around $33,000 +TTL. I did go through a dealership's internet sales team & they found the truck prior to it hitting the port in Houston. This meant I could delete any of the options added at that point. I had them add the 3m window tint and delete the side steps & floor mats. I ordered new floor mats from WeatherTech and steps from Avid Off Road. Both of these were less expensive than the oem parts and I'm guessing will be better.

    I just tried. It asked for the vin and and said it was not equipped with entune. So the other thread was right about installing an entune stereo into an non-entune truck. It will not work unfortunately :(
    Oh well, at least I have the nav :cool:

    Inmho, you're not losing much w/out entune. It's neat, but that's about it,

    You're right, I dont need that, and probbly would never use it. But what I really want is all the other stuff in the manual like the trip comupter and tire PSI on the HU. Does yours have all that?

    Mine does not have those features... Or at least I haven't found them yet. Of course I haven't opened the manual yet either, silly instructions. I'll take a look and let you know.

    Just looked through the manual and those features are only for certain models of navi units. If you look at toyota's website they list all of the different units by vehicle. I was surprised by how many different H/U's they actually have. Unfortunately I couldn't find a good description of the functionality of each H/U on the site, just that there are different one's out there.

    Thanks. Well, i feel better knowing that you dont have them either :D
    And the manual doesnt even seem like the manual for our actual HU.
    My 2012 sienna SE doesnt have an HU this good, but it still has a little LCD with all the nice trip computer/vehicle stuff.
    Thanks again, and enjoy your truck!

    Just ordered my 2013 Sport Access cab, I was told Entune was not available in the access cab.

    HU is nice. Non-JBL. Was not aware that HU was able to connect via bluetooth and hands free calling. Apparently that info was left off the internet vehicle specs. BTW, i bought my Tacoma via email. listed 32,879. (30,800 got me)
