    This is surprising news.

For the 2013 model year the Toyota Tacoma’s TRD Sport package has been discontinued but gets a touchscreen audio system.

    Source: http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2012/07/toyota-announces-pricing-for-seven-2013-models.html

One other source said a "limited" version is going to be offered. I wonder if it's basically going to replace the Sport?

NOTE: Information from all online sources (autoguide, motor trend, etc) are wrong. According to the official Toyota press release, it's only the Sport Upgrade package that's being discontinued. Credit goes to gunhound for spotting the error first (and it was only his 2nd post on TW).

IIRC, The "limited" package just comes with a whole bunch of extra chrome.

The skewp will be rare in the same way that you rarely see any Pontiac Azteks on the street.

So, I wonder if there will be a way to get color-matched bumpers/grill at all? I guess it might just be an extra option at any trim level? If they discontinue the Sport, and the Limited = lots of chrome...no more painted rear bumpers?

Would be nice if this just meant the TRD Off-road is going to now offer the best of both packages...

Rear locker and color-matched trim? (and skewp!)
