Whats goin' on guys, My name's Rusty, I'm a NYC fireman, and brand new to the Tacoma game. Just got a 2013 Tacoma TRD in black, and I'm looking to black everything out, so just needed some tips:

I have the stock rims on it now, I like the look, but I want to paint em' black. I had done this in the past with my previous vehicle, but the machined look on the stock tacoma rims has me wondering if the paint will take very well? I've seen some pictures of trucks that looked like they did it, but wanted to pick up some tricks of the trade if anyone has.

Secondly, my body moulding around the bed is faded a touch, was thinking about hitting that with a coat to bring it back to black nice, any tips there?

The tube running boards I have are steel, and those will take a fresh coat of black no problem, going to hand sand em' down quick, rinse, dry, and hit with paint.

Lastly, the front lower grill has a grey plastic piece (where a push bar would come up) and I want to black that out as well. Not sure what to do with the plastic. Any ideas?

And this too, the TRD PRO grille insert, if your not a fan of the chrome emblem this is a fairly dark option

Plasti-Dip the lower bumper. Or sand it, spray with plastic adhesion promoter, spray paint it, then gloss coat.

How does the plasti dip hold up? and what about for the other moulding around the truck, i.e.: rear bumper, bed moulding and such?

Plasti dip holds up if you do it right and do like 7-8 coats. Start light and get heavier with it but don't let it drip

cool, will do. I'm definitely going to plasti dip that front lower bumper that's grey, the emblems, and I think the bed moulding as well.
