Nothing like nailing a deer with a 6 month old truck. Was on my way to work yesterday morning on the highway in a very developed area so it was the last place I'd expect to see one. Ran across 3 lanes of the oncoming lanes. Never even saw it til it jumped the cement median right in front of me where I was driving in the passing lane. Pretty much hit it as I saw it so I had no time to even try and hit the brakes. Truck handled it rather well I think. I hit a deer years ago with a Grand Am and that caused serious damage. With the heavy traffic moving at 50-60 had no place to even stop in that section of road so I just continued on to work which was only a couple miles down the road. People behind me probably thought i was nuts seeing me plow through the deer and keep driving like nothing happened lol. Saw it slide through the other lanes but wasn't sure if it made it off the road so I called it in to 911 to try and avoid it causing another accident. I'm really shocked it made it across the opposing 3 lanes and didn't get hit by anyone else after I hit it.

Estimate came in at just under $1,600.

Yea even in person at first glance I thought only the plastic part of the bumper was broke then I noticed the foot long dent in both the body colored part of the bumper as well as the chrome bumper.

lol. Had this happened when I had my Tacoma I likely would have went that route. This truck is staying stock though.
