Definitely not useless information. We have a Forester XT with the same problem. Where is this section of harness at in relation to the rest of the engine bay? I'm going to see if the Forester is the same.

    Nice WRX!

    Welcome Subadude

First thing i'll do is a cat-back exhaust. I would prefer to have a nice rumble first before i go and start messing with the tuning and such.

Giving the Corsa Performance catback some serious consideration. Everything i've read about it has been really good, people say it's not loud when driven at normal-light footed speeds but really livens up when you get on it. Also lots of reports say there is absolutely no engine drone so that's a plus as well.

This is on a stock STI
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k-2HQiswRg

Comparison to the Cobb catback with a downpipe:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hNAjd9E_S4

After catback eventually i'll get an Accessport and a downpipe. At some point some aftermarket wheels would be a nice touch but damn they're pricey.

Trying hard not to get the mod bug with this car since my truck is still #1 priority for mods. I've got suspension plans that i'd like to follow through with before i get too deep into the car mods. However, if i can squeeze a catback exhaust in there i'd be pretty content for a while. It bothers me sometimes when i drive and can barely hear the car with the stereo on and such, not to mention the road noise WRX's are notorious for.

Well hopefully this can help you out then!

Here is where the harness is at on the WRX. It's wrapped in electrical tape and then there's a chunk of wire loom beneath the tape where you will be able to access all of the wires. That is, if it's the same.

Here is a link to the thread that i came across for the fix:

Good luck and hopefully this works for you!

It sounds like the corsa has a little more grunt to it. I like

Exactly what i get from it too. Cobb still sounds good it's just more muffled? I guess thats what "mufflers" do right? :cookiemonster:

I was pretty set on the Invidia but every Subaru owner and their brother has an Invidia exhaust so i feel the need to be a little different.

Sounds pretty good. I also was looking at the Q300 but I think I want something louder. However I have noticed almost every single cop stares at me already so maybe I shouldn't attract even more attention.

The goals are new wheels and tires, turbo back exhaust, cobb tune, intake, and BOV. Can't really mess with suspension living in the city and always having to be in a parking garage with speed bumps. Will probably get some stiffer sway bars and some braces for better handling but other than that I think I'll be happy with it. Going to do a few cosmetic changes as well (aero kits, bhlm, tint, etc)

Yeah the invidia sounds good but it's just pretty quiet. From my research I think the Corsa is my favorite quad tip exhaust. I'm in the same boat with suspension, I don't want it any lower. If anything just some tires and wheels out to fill it out a bit more and I'll be happy.

Subbed :D jealous of the rumble from this motor...Subaru should have stuck with the UEL headers for the 2015 :/

I absolutely love the Subie rumble. I wasn't aware they switched to EL headers for the 2015's.

Yeah that part i knew. Twin scroll turbo though so that must make up for the displacement loss.

I'm almost positive we're at 265 as well. I thought i read somewhere a while back the 15's are around 268 or something like that? Idk i haven't done much research on the 15's.

I think around the same numbers? The only reason you are slower is you have to shift into 3rd to hit 60 whereas I dont

It's because of the gearing. You guys have 5 speed transmissions right? Mines a 6spd which prob gives u guys a better 0-60
