    Firstly, I Love my Tacoma.

In the near future I will be taking a job that will require a 2hr drive each way every 2 or 3 days. I currently get between 21-23 mpg driving about 30mins each way and everything is stock from the factory.

Outside of keeping the tires properly inflated, Air filter cleaned, oil changed regularly and driving like a 90 y/o (which I already do) is there anything I can do to get a little better mileage out of this bad boy?

That's what I got when I had my 4cyl 4x4 5 speed. I averaged 22.5 before I put a slightly more aggressive tire on it and then I lost 1mpg. I commute about 450 miles a week. A clean air filter and low rolling resistance tires (like stock) will generally net the best mileage. I actually went from stock dunlop 245/75/16's to General HTS 265/70/16's (also a non-aggressive tire) and lost 1.5 MPG on my current V6.

I'm driving about the same distance and getting the same mileage on my '14 Access Cab with the 4-clyinder auto. It did drop to the low end with the colder weather and was on the high end this summer. And I typically don't drive like a 90-year-old! :)

Just do what you're doing. You'll be fine.

When you buy new tires, make sure they're light...your OEM tires are 32lbs each... some 245/75/16s can be as much as 50lbs each. They average about 37-42lbs though
