Anyone actually have a 2014 Access Cab with the entune premium package?

I ordered one from a local dealership and keep getting the run around from the dealer about an estimated ship date (originally ordered 11/18). They stated it would be mid-january at the latest for delivery, but changed their date to mid Feb now due to "production delays and the holidays"

I called a different dealership to check in on a truck just like I wanted that didn't specify whether it was entune plus or premium, and was informed that they spoke with the regional sales manager who told them that Toyota isn't making any Access Cab's with entune Premium.

Anyone actually have one that can confirm these things actually exist?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I just went to Toyota's official site and searched their inventory using their tool. I entered zip code "98001" which is in the Seattle, WA area (where I found my Tacoma), selected Access Cab and checked the box for Entune Premium, and it found two of them in Seattle. So, yes they do exist.

Don't know where you are, but you should try using the inventory search on Toyota's site. If there are none in your immediate area, choose a larger city and try again. If you find any, you can contact a dealer through Toyota's site or check the web sites for the individual dealers until you find the exact model. (That's how I found mine.) Good luck. - MarkC

Thanks Mark. I live in east TN and was able to find one in the area using the method you described. If that's the case, I guess the new dealership I contacted was lying to me when they stated Toyota wasn't making those types of trucks. I guess they wanted me to give up on ordering and come down and buy their Entune Plus version.

    Thanks again.

I have the entune premium audio package on my access cab. It took over a month for me to get my truck from the factory, but my dealership had already ordered 3 trucks months earlier and they were able to amend their order to get me the truck I was looking for. There were some other details I wanted, such as the newer seats with the softex covering. When I went through the process, I learned that for some reason, many of the options are readily available on the DC but not the access cab. I sat down with the sales manager at my dealership and he was on his computer with his direct ordering system with the factory. AS he punched in the various options I wanted, sometimes, such as the case with the softex, it would come back "not available." My hunch is that your dealership was not outright lying to you, but when they did their search the vehicle may not have been in the system.

BTW, love the premium entune. For me, the voice commands are spot on. My only complaint is the navigation route options sometimes falls short of the actual best route. If I am going somewhere new out of town, I review the route on my computer first and drive that direction. Eventually the nav system in the truck will catch on and accept my chosen route. But I see this will every nav system I have used. Good luck getting your truck.

You're totally welcome. Of course, Toyota's site is generic and it doesn't identify the exact dealer that has the exact vehicle you located. But, it shouldn't be hard to chase down. For example, I wanted a model with the "Limited" package and found a few in the Seattle area (several hundred miles from where I live). I knew there were at least a half-dozen dealers in that area and I went to each dealer's own site until I found the exact one the Toyota site had filtered out for me. My experience is that you're always in a better position making a deal on a vehicle the dealer has in stock rather than asking them to find one. For mine, I did the whole deal via e-mail and phone with the dealer's internet salesman. I then bought a one-way plane ticket, the salesman picked me up at the airport, and I drove it home the same day. If I ever buy another vehicle, I won't hesitate to try that again. Take care. - MarkC
