    Im having trouble tracking down nice headlights that arent $1000 in price, am I asking too much or is that just the normal price?

    It depends on what you're looking for; looks or performance. For performance, OEM is the only way to fly. (Trust me.) And if you want to step up the performance a bit more, try this:

    The ultimate headlight upgrade H4 (not LED or HID) | Tacoma World

    Another less expensive option is to buy used OEM headlights from somebody who's more worried about looks.

    Speaking of looks. If that's what you're interested in, I cannot offer any advice.
